At just 19 years old, Anathi is discovering her potential and building a bright future through the Skills and Work Centre at Drakenstein APD, a Val de Vie Foundation beneficiary, where she began her journey in February 2026.
Drakenstein APD addresses the specific needs of persons with disabilities while supporting their empowerment, independence and inclusion as equal members of society.
Anathi is a talented young woman whose disability has not prevented her from developing her abilities, expressing her creativity and demonstrating what she can achieve. Although naturally shy, she has an extraordinary passion for art and drawing and expresses herself through her work in a truly remarkable way.
Since joining the Skills and Work Centre, Anathi’s talent and dedication have quickly caught the team’s attention. She is loved and valued by those around her, while her hard work has been met with encouragement and support.
Anathi has also demonstrated how quickly she can learn and apply new skills. In the workshop, she completes tasks and activities swiftly and effectively, showing that she is a fast learner who continues to thrive within the Skills Programme.
The team at Drakenstein APD continues to work alongside Anathi, supporting her development and encouraging her to rise above the challenges associated with her disability. Her positive attitude, commitment and willingness to learn are helping her become a positive influence among her peers at the Skills and Work Centre.
With continued guidance and support, Anathi will have the opportunity to further develop her abilities, strengthen her independence and work towards achieving her future goals.
