Mosaic Paarl Vallei nurtures children’s diverse abilities through enriching activities and programmes, including lessons in music, cultural and arts performances and academic support through tutoring.

She recently passed Grade 10 at a local high school in the Paarl Vallei area. Known for her kind heart and compassionate nature, she is a reliable friend to her peers and a responsible older sister to her younger sibling. Despite facing the challenges of being an orphan, she remains strong and determined, always putting her family and friends first while navigating the ups and downs of adolescence. Her resilience and caring attitude make her a cherished presence in the lives of those around her.
Her story is remarkable, as she has demonstrated steadfast academic resilience and excellence, earning her an overall honours award and a bursary to continue her studies at a top high school in Paarl. In addition to her academic achievements, Janie has shown dedication and talent in Mosaic’s Spiritual Dancing Group, using her passion for dance as a source of positivity and strength. Her commitment to her studies and dance has kept her focused and motivated, inspiring those around her with her perseverance and vibrant energy.
In one of Mosaic’s programmes, which focuses on preparing young adults for their careers and the working world, Janie has consistently shown great responsibility, completing all tasks on time and excelling during her volunteer days at an animal shelter. She has proven herself capable of nurturing the animals while handling administrative work and excelling in basic computer literacy, email communication, and office etiquette. She displays confidence in both her work and in earning the respect of her peers, mentors, and community alike. Janie is a true trailblazer.
