Chadé Sefoor, a 25-year-old from the Cape Winelands, shares a powerful story of transformation. Growing up in a loving family with six siblings and guided by a strong, caring single mother, Chade’ joined the Elevation Programme, a beneficiary of the Val de Vie Foundation, in August 2025, which profoundly changed his life. Before the programme, he struggled to understand his vision and purpose, often relying on others due to a lack of confidence.

Through the Elevation Programme, he developed a deeper understanding of his identity, his connection with himself and with God, along with his core values and beliefs. He realised the significance of self-motivation and taking responsibility for his personal development. This transformation enabled him to shift from dependence to independence, fostering authentic personal growth.

Building on this foundation, he joined the Work Readiness Programme, where he gained practical skills in CV writing, interview preparation, workplace communication and time management. These skills, combined with the confidence developed through the Elevation Programme, opened the door to a job opportunity at Window Works, an achievement he is deeply grateful for.

Looking ahead, Chadé aspires to become either an Electrical or Civil Engineer, own a home and vehicle, and maintain a close relationship with God. His view of success has shifted from external accomplishments to include internal fulfilment, happiness, health, and alignment with his values. Throughout his journey, he has matured into a confident, independent, and purpose-driven person, prepared to embrace his future.
