The Valley came alive with the Sound of Music

The Val de Vie Foundation has touched thousands of young lives in our valley through many initiatives these past few years. Introducing 18 aspiring vocalists to Ronan Keating, with them having the opportunity to sing with this world-renowned musician, probably rates as the most moving event, ever!

On November 1st the Polo Pavilion Ballroom came alive with the voices of our very own Paarl Valley Eisteddfod (PVE )choir. After a breathtaking 2 months of rehearsals, this purpose-drawn choir from a diverse mix of junior schools in the Paarl Valley came together for a night that was indelibly inked in the minds of our 18 young vocalists.

Included in the choir were talented young singers from W A Joubert, Paarlzicht, Gymnasium, Courtrai, Noordeind, Van Wyksvlei and Paarl Boys Primary

Caren Bosman, Courtrai choir director and volunteer choirmistress to PVE, remarked: “When the invitation came to create a small choir to perform with Ronan Keating, I was not expecting this beautiful journey with the children.

This was a journey marked by dedication, hard work, an indescribable bond among the children and unity. A living testimony to our capacity to overcome differences through working towards a common goal with a children’s choir, drawn to a future filled with hope.”

Truly stronger, together.
