On 9 December, The Val de Vie Foundation, in collaboration with the Langrug Soup Kitchen and Triple Love, sponsored a Christmas lunch for 500 children from the Langrug Franschhoek community. We were able to provide not only a hot meal but also fresh apples, peaches and plums from Top Fruit and Salem Boerdery, and breakfast biscuits from Pepsico. The children were able to, quite literally, take home an armful of nourishing food.
The children’s eyes lit up as volunteers handed out these special treats. The event marked an extraordinary celebration, made possible by our Val de Vie Foundation volunteers working hand in hand with the team at Langrug Soup Kitchen.
The Val de Vie Foundation takes great pride in its role, and the incredible spirit of volunteerism and love shown by our residents throughout the creates a strong bond with our neighbouring communities. This commitment is reflected in our collective pursuit of ‘a better life for all in our Valley.’
