The Val de Vie Foundation was honoured to receive 50 beautiful hand-knitted Teddy Bears from Eileen Kleynhans to distribute to the Paarl Hospital Department of Paediatrics this Christmas. Eileen’s daughter, Caro, is a graphic designer with Val de Vie Marketing, and she had a dream to gift these teddies to our less fortunate new mothers and babies this Christmas.
Dr Jaco Murray, HCU Paediatrics, said ‘it was wonderful to see the joy on the new mothers’ faces when they received the teddy bears. They are truly works of art; you can see the time and care spent knitting each one. The children will treasure them for the rest of their lives.”
He went on to commend the Val de Vie Foundation’s commitment to supporting the hospital, saying, ‘It is donations like these that make a big difference in our community”.
