The Covid-19 pandemic is having a devastating impact all around the world: From health to economic, education and social development spaces.

Right on our doorstep, in our neighbouring communities, the reality is that thousands of people are going to bed hungry at night. This is due to the loss of income and restricted access to regular feeding schemes at soup kitchens, Early Childhood Development Centres and schools.

The Val de Vie Foundation is partnering with their Social Investment Managers, Valcare, and a host of other credible organisations, to help provide and pack thousands of vetted food parcels that will be distributed to the most vulnerable families in the communities within the Cape Winelands.

We are standing united and stepping up to be change-makers during these historic times.


  • Contribute financially to enable the Val de Vie Foundation to buy as many food parcels as possible;
  • One food parcel costs R350 and will supplement a family of four for one month;
  • It will include non-perishable basic food items as well as soap and Covid-19 information leaflets;
  • Our goal is to raise R875 000 per month, to support 2500 homes;
  • Valcare will distribute the packs according to an operational plan and coordinated process that will be monitored and reported on.

A heartfelt thank you to all who have donated thus far. The Val de Vie Foundation issues 18A Tax Certificates upon request from donators, once per financial year.

Please email Simone de Wet with your amount donated and proof of payment in order for us to acknowledge your donation and issue your 18A Tax Certificate in March 2021.
